Every blog needs a first post, so here we are.

I’m relaunching this site as a place to write up things I learn — mostly around systems engineering, Kubernetes, cloud-native tooling, and occasionally software design more broadly.

Why write? #

A few reasons:

  1. Solidifying understanding. If I can’t explain something clearly, I don’t understand it well enough yet.
  2. A reference for future-me. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve re-Googled something I figured out months ago.
  3. Contributing back. A lot of what I know came from other people’s blog posts. Paying it forward seems right.

What to expect #

Posts will be technical and hands-on. I’ll try to include working examples where possible. I’m not aiming for polish — I’d rather ship a rough post than never finish a perfect one.
